Daily life
Breakfast: green tea & banana-egg pancakes.
Daily lifeBits of my Sunday
I have been really busy lately, moving in to my new apartment! Okay, so technically it’s not moving in because all my stuff was already there (thanks mom & dad!), but I did have to unpack and sort through all of my stuff. And (unfortunately) that is a lot. I got so annoyed by the amount of crap everytime I opened a box, haha! Well, obviously not everything is crap, but I did throw away a lot! Like, A LOT. Anyway, this weekend was possibly the busiest time with unpacking (I had to make room for something very special & awesome – I’ll blog about it this week!), but I did manage to squeeze in some photography (and food) time ;) So here’s some snapshots of today.
Breakfast: green tea & banana-egg pancakes. Back home!
After a flight that was only 8 hours and 40 minutes (I had expected about 10 hours) without any trouble I arrived back in Holland after five months! It took forever before I got all my luggage, but then it was finally time to see my family again ♥. Of course it was not without tears ;) But then it felt like I had just seen them last week!
And wow, it was SO cold, I nearly froze when I stepped outside for the first time! Luckily today it isn’t as cold as yesterday, because I had to go outside to get groceries. It feels good to be back and it’s super awesome to be in my own little apartment (love it!), but I do miss Curaçao so much! I guess it will take some time to completely get used to being here again.
I’m going through a lot of emotions right now, it’s hard for me to put it into (the right) words. So for now, some random pictures I took today.
Bracelets that I got on both Curaçao and Bonaire. Putting on my winter-proof iPhone case ;) Making a to do list. Things I am looking forward to
One thing that always makes me happy is having fun and exciting things to look forward to. It can be as simple as being excited about going to grab a drink with a friend, or having a day at the beach (okay, wow. seeing as I think of that as something simple – in freaking december – shows how lucky I am to be here!) to look forward to. Or it could be something bigger like your holiday to [insert warm country here] which is coming up, or celebrating New Year’s at some awesome party. No matter what it is, it is a good feeling to have things to look forward to!
Highs (and lows) of the week
