In de categorie: Reizen2013, here we are!
First of all: Happy New Year! I know I’m a few days late, but hey, it’s still the beginning of the year right? Hope your New Year’s Eve was fabulous! Mine was! Celebrating New Year’s outside in just a dress (no coat, no leggings…), with new friends, on Curaçao… it was really, really great. Last year I would have never thought that this would be the way I’d enter the new year!
Weekend on Bonaire
Even though it was already two weeks ago (where does the time go?), I absolutely didn’t forget about sharing some of the pictures I took on my trip to Bonaire!
We left really early on saturday morning (around 5:30 in the morning), because our flight was supposed to go at 7am. Unfortunately it was delayed, so it took longer than expected to get to Bonaire. Not that it was such a long flight, we were only in the air for fifteen minutes ;) I did feel a little scared to be on a plane again, actually! Anyway, on the first day we rented our scooters, did some groceries, toured around the island for a few hours, went out for dinner & had a fun girls’ night in, talking and drinking wine. Here are some of the pictures I took! (and others took of me!)
Touring around Westpunt, part 2
It’s already been a while since I posted the first few pictures of my ‘beach tour‘ around Westpunt! I still wanted to share more of the photos I took (because there were so many), so here you go: part 2!
Things I am looking forward to
One thing that always makes me happy is having fun and exciting things to look forward to. It can be as simple as being excited about going to grab a drink with a friend, or having a day at the beach (okay, wow. seeing as I think of that as something simple – in freaking december – shows how lucky I am to be here!) to look forward to. Or it could be something bigger like your holiday to [insert warm country here] which is coming up, or celebrating New Year’s at some awesome party. No matter what it is, it is a good feeling to have things to look forward to!
What I will miss about Curacao
While there are of course things I miss about home during my stay here, there’s also a lot of things I am going to miss about Curaçao when I get back home. And maybe missing things from here is even worse, because when I’m home I have all the stuff I missed back, but going back to everything on Curaçao isn’t an option… Well, let’s not think about that (yet)! I still have two months here :) Here’s what I am definitely going to miss about living here:
